Re: Bassic Colors No. 16 – Blue Boy blue
Is there any way of knowing how many COY basses and guitars were made?

Re: Animals "it's My Life"
Simple song, easy to play. Simple song indeed. And easy to play too. But it's very difficult to play it right, just like most of the simple songs. I played this song with my first band. At the time I used my Fenix P copy, the only bass I had, and later on I used my 4003. Nowadays I do have a Rivoli...

Re: Babicz Guitars
I played one some time ago and it sounded great, very warm and rich tone, quite loud too. It was a different model, it didn't have the extra soundholes but it did have those string anchors on the soundboard. I don't remember if it had the adjustable neck, but it was set up well and easy to play.

Re: Dutch cat pictures from Dutch mini confluence.
I have the same book, the bass looks great in that color. So the way the neck is set is not typical for WB basses. Did they change it at a certain point in time maybe?

Re: Dutch cat pictures from Dutch mini confluence.
Another thing was the sizes of the 'finger' on the headstock. The Blueboy had a much fatter finger. http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/6616/p1000277e.jpg My two 4003 basses. The fireglo is from july 1994, the blueboy was made in week 33 in 2005. If I had known that Bert allowed non-Rickenbacker bas...

Re: 4005 differences
I heard Chris' 4005 before (very loud, through my Ampeg V4), but this was the first time I heard a 4005 with just the bridge pickup selected and it sounded a bit too thin to me. I prefer the sound of a 4003's bridge pickup. The 4005 is a beautiful bass, but I don't think I'd play it much because of ...

Re: Help me pick a bass amp (to play with my 4003)
The BA115 is a great amp, I've had mine for two years now and it's really good. I like the sound, pure solid state Ampeg (although I prefer tubes). If you like the sound of an Ampeg, get this combo. I guess mine is US made, but I really don't care where it's from. A good amp is a good amp. A couple ...
