Re: What's going on......?

Thanks Johnny, I might take you up on that, sounds like a bargain.

I've just seen a trapeze tailpiece for....wait for it...£125!! I'm useless at metalwork, but give me bit of metal & a hacksaw & I could probably make a passable job of one.

Totaly crazy... :?

Re: Compressors

I have used the Boss comp in the past & found it pretty versatile, but I agree that the harder the compression, the duller the sound. This is common in vca compressors & less of a problem with optical compressors (Joe Meek etc). The hum is almost certainly coming from elsewhere, as Boss foot...

Re: Best Piece of Gear I Got For Christmas

Thanks Mark. I don't really mind what sort of band it is quite honestly, I just want to play every now & again to keep up to speed, I've no great plans in the near future.

A lot of boats look like shipwrecks in Shaldom at the moment!

Yes, I'm still painting....

Turn my back for 2 minutes & I hardly recognise the place. Looks great though...really professional (not that it wasn't before). Nice 'n' easy to insert smiley faces (I bet that drives Paul MAD). I've had to do one of those avatar piccy type things for myself but I can't seem to get the quality ...

Thanks guys. Where have I been??, well, I'm not sure really. Time seems to move on & what used to be the norm gradualy changes for no particular reason...if you know what I mean. The big change to me is that I have given up my own band & am currently looking for a bass players position in a ...
