I agree. I remember seeing him play it on "Mary Jane's Last Dance" during a concert in '95 or '96. Really cool guitar!

...and.... if you polish and round or bevel the edges (takes about 1/2 hour, wetsanding by hand, followed by buffing with a rag and polishing compound) you get some really neat glowing edge effects. It is usually the cover that gets microphonic....what I would do is to use some white silicone (the kind that dries pliable and soft) and stick a couple dabs under the cover and then squish the cover down into it.
