Rick Bass Popularity
Hey all. Lately I have been watching a fair few current bands video clips, and in general listening to more styles of current music and bands. But what has struck me is the number of Rickenbacker bass guitars been using in bands these days! Noticeably 4003s. I watched a top 100 songs from 2007 here ...

Re: Melbourne Aussie Confluence Sunday Dec 9
Of all the Rickenbacker confluences I have attended, today had to be my favorite! Starting with the location, at the Nighthawk Blues, we had the whole place, and bar, to our selves. Very cool venue indeed, including a nice stage and P.A setup, and large enough to fit Darrens everyones guitars  ...

Re: Rick bass guitar effects
Thanks for the replies! I have checked out the M80, and from looking at review sites such as harmony central, a lot more people have them, and rate them a fair bit better then the Blowtorch. Though i'm not sure what they really sounds like, and how they work with the pre-amp. Unfortunately both aren...

Rick bass guitar effects
Howdy all, I'm looking to purchase a new effects stomp box/board. Currently I have a Digitech BP200, which is great, had heaps of effects, but does them all at a pretty average quality. A friend has left his Electro-Harmonix Big muff for a few months and is taking that back, so i'm looking at buying...

Love this look of this bass!
It does look like a p-bass/rick hybrid too, love the fret inlays.

LOL! Well, I really, really hope they reform sometime in the future.alanz wrote:When they reform in 5 years they'll be Death from Above 1984
It's almost depressing that Keeler went on to sit behind a mixing console and make music rather then use his amazing bass skills.

Death From Above 1979
Never has a band blown me away as much as the duo from Death From Above 1979 and changed the way I play bass. My friend sent me a link to a video with DFA1979 playing, and I had never seen nor heard them before, instantly I fell in love when I saw DFA1979 bassist Jesse F Keeler with a Rickenbacker 4...

Thanks everyone ! http://archives.rickresource.com/clipart/happy.gif Getting a Rickenbacker was definitely the BEST present ever! And one I hope to keep it forever too. Probably the thing I am most excited about now is as Darren said, being able to attend licensed gigs, and I just booked tickets for...
