Warranty on Musician's Friend purchase?
I have a lovely MapleGlo 620 that I bought a few years ago from Musician's Friend - it was an open box/returned item for some reason but otherwise brand new. I restrung the guitar the other day and all of a sudden the bridge pickup stopped working - I can't tell if it's the pickup itself or the swit...

It's an interesting suggestion, for sure. I would hate to go through all that and run the risk of not being happy with it, though, you know? So if you could just mail me yours so I can try it out for a while, that would be perfect.

Re: Swap 620 for 660, 650, or keep it?
I'm both a good candidate for an opinion and a bad candidate. I have a 660, a 620, and two 650Cs. I think I pretty much understand your position, but I went about solving it a little differently. :) I'm not sure what years/models of 650s you've tried, but my 650C necks don't really feel different t...

Swap 620 for 660, 650, or keep it?
I have a 2012 620 in Mapleglo that I really love. The neck-through construction combined with the hi-gains is like the absolute perfect guitar tone for the kind of music I make. Except I'm tired of fighting the narrow nut and small frets. I want nothing more than for this to be my #1, but I'm just t...

Best Ric Dealer in Southern California?
After two years with it, I've finally resolved to quit fighting the narrow neck on my 620 and swap it for a 650 or 660. But of course I want to try a few of them out before deciding which. Short of calling up every dealer listed on the Rickenbacker website and seeing what they have, does anybody kno...

Re: Fingerboard laquer defect on "mint" 620?
I got them to take another $50 off, meaning I paid about $1050 plus tax. It was a used item at Musician's Friend, but that usually just means someone bought it and returned it within 45 days. Interesting theory about the nut, the string spacing doesn't look out of whack in person, although there see...

Fingerboard laquer defect on "mint" 620?
Last week I received a used "Condition 1: Mint" Mapleglo 620 from Musician's Friend. It's my first Ric, and a great guitar - I love it. But I noticed when I was unboxing (and noticed again today), that it looks like some of the laquer on the fretboard at the nut is peeling off already?! He...

Re: NGD - Mapleglo 620!
Just put it through its paces tonight at rehearsal... hoo boy. I think she's a keeper, y'all. Stayed in tune all night and sounded really nice and focused - just what I need to compensate for my sloppy fingers.

NGD - Mapleglo 620!
Ever since cestlamort put up his black 620 for sale a few months ago I have been GASing hard for one of these. Played as many different models I could get my hands on and the 620 was the winner. Musician's Friend had it used in mint condition plus a deal on used gear last weekend, so I got a pretty ...
