I'm not sure where the "limited run of 90 each" rumor got started. They were available to order for a limited time. People went nuts and ordered a lot of them. Much like the COY program, actual production completion dates can fall in a year later than the one they are intended to memoriali...

So cool to see a new 4005! That’s gorgeous and I’ll bet it sounds huge! As if I wasn’t contrarian enough, this is the only Rickenbacker model where I prefer to see the rounded top over the slab. Any Fretlessessss planned? You know, a piezo will fit nicely under that bridge…hmmm I love the piezos on...

The pizza shape is to give the larger strings larger magnets and the smaller strings smaller magnets. It's quite revolutionary and it's a shame people get hung up on the look of it.

Yep - the "Byrd" wiring would have the 3 way switch wired to select each pickup one at a time. None of the normal "neck/both/bridge" stuff most of us are used to.
