Re: 4030 Short Scale bass

Those look like the hot toasters like on my 480XC. Which I love the sound of. I wonder how they would be on this thing. Probably good?

Re: Is it happening? A new 4005?!

So cool to see a new 4005! That’s gorgeous and I’ll bet it sounds huge! As if I wasn’t contrarian enough, this is the only Rickenbacker model where I prefer to see the rounded top over the slab. Any Fretlessessss planned? You know, a piezo will fit nicely under that bridge…hmmm I love the piezos on...

Re: 2022 4003 CB SMG "Limited Edition"

Re: 4004cii/5

The pizza shape is to give the larger strings larger magnets and the smaller strings smaller magnets. It's quite revolutionary and it's a shame people get hung up on the look of it.

Same here. You are not alone. (meaning I cringe at a lot of my own old posts I see now)

Re: 4004cii/5

Probably more of a doomed experiment. And I dont think they ever even made a 4004Cii/8 like they planned to.

Re: Gene Clark

Yep - the "Byrd" wiring would have the 3 way switch wired to select each pickup one at a time. None of the normal "neck/both/bridge" stuff most of us are used to.
