Check this site out. There is a page on the M & B series, including an "E" that might even be of interest here since I see "Electro" on yours.

It does happen. Try the group Rickenbacker Market Watch on facebook. Someone there might know.

Re: Rich Robinson Rickenbacker Model
Probably just a 360S, right? I don't see the 3262 headstock slot fillers.

Re: Shipping to Australia
Collin recently gave me some good advice so definitely go with what he says.
I will say I shipped a 4003 in OHSC to Oz circa 2008 and it was $400, so $800 doesn't sound completely insane for 2022 considering all the factors like time, inflation, covid...

You'll probably want 500k pots if you do. Dane (aceonbass) here does great harnesses for such applications.

Have you thought of just replacing that pickup with a RIC HB?

Re: How Much Does Damage And Age Affect Value?
The first cut is the deepest, as the song says. The good news (in a weird way) is that a recent example of a model still in production isn't at all rare or especially valuable. What i mean is this would be way worse if an otherwise mint vintage Rick got its first ding. One question though, is it jus...

Re: Issues with my 360/12 at the moment (wrong tuners, ski jump neck)
I would definitely put the better tuners back on. No one will see those holes on the headstock from 5 feet away.
What is a ski jump?

Re: Toaster Pickup differences
On the '81, those are probably "scatterwound" reissue toasters, which they started making in '99. How long have you had it? Does the neck pickup have short poles, or long like the bridge pickup? On the V64, pickups won't have anything to do with sustain, that's all the guitar's wood and co...

Re: Invasive neck reset
Dumb question, but what do you do about the finish breaking where the separation occurs? Do you razor blade it first so there is a clean break? You mean at the neck and body joint? Often on vintage Ricks, there is already a gap there, but I'll usually score the finish carefully with an Xacto knife ...

Re: Recently came into owning this, looks like it has been around
I saw that too. I hope you got it for a lot less than the Reverb 'BIN" price. That looks like water damage. Early 80's finishes check, but they don't fold up and wrinkle like that under normal aging circumstances. Anyway, looks like a fun project! Congrats, and enjoy!
