Re: Crooked bridge pickup in a 4003S and treble bezel insert
I'd pull out the assembly and see how it's mounted to the plastic plate and take it from there. On my 2008 4003, it's held on with two screws. Very simple.

Re: Toaster covers on HiGains W/ adj. pole pieces
Just did this mod on my 4003. Used allen screws. Output seems about the same but now the pickup is abit microphonic. I've actually noticed the exact same thing since my conversion. I'm reaching a bit here, but I seem to recall some discussion somewhere about adding a bit of wax to the undersurface ...

Re: Toaster covers on HiGains W/ adj. pole pieces
Not that I'm aware off. I was careful with the install of the new screws and the cover and don't see anything damaged. I did notice some corrosion on the ground connectionloverickbass wrote:Hummm mine turned out just fine. Did you break the magnet on the back?
on the shielded cable and re-soldered that.

Re: Finished nut on 4001c64
I would say RIC installs the nuts after the clear coat is applied.
How's the workmanship of the nut? Slots etc. cut correctly? Any issues with playability? If not, I wouldn't worry about it.
You can always replace or have it replaced easily.
