I have no doubt the Rickenbacker is a nice bass. I had the fortune of finding a Near Mint Hofner Beatle Bass made in 1967. Missing the truss rod cover and the final price was $5.00 at a garage sale. I understand your point. All I was saying is that the only thing I have seen was from a guy on eBay. And the only time I saw it was years ago. And he didn't guarantee it wouldn't ruin your finish.
