Re: The best money I ever spent
I've used a Mastery bridge on my 325c58 with TI Jazz Swing 12s, and the wound G wasn't a problem. Maybe that's because of the short scale? I'm assuming that the issue with the wound G was about intonation, because there didn't seem to be any problem with seating the wound G. Heavier gauge wound G, m...

Re: (Alleged) Bits of John Lennon's V81 Hit the Auction Bloc
Awfully cool. Nice to see that these original parts still exist. A little sad to think that they will continue to be separated from V81. By that I am not advocating swapping the original parts for the replacements--whatever we think of the 1972 repairs, John approved them at the time. But posterity ...

Thanks for the link. Gorgeous 325! And interesting analysis of John Fogerty's 325 use, factoring in his Kustom amp...

Re: Commemoration - Your Guitar's Manufacture Anniversary
My 325c58 is 11 years old this week. Reversible mods: trapeze, Burns knobs, Mastery bridge. One reason for John to remove the Rogans; the volume knobs were/are too close together and they collide with each other and get stuck. I don't want to break a Rogan. I've had it for five months. I wanted a gu...

Re: Is there such a thing? Part 2
I get great tone from my 325c58 through my ZT Lunchbox amp--incredibly light, versatile (sounds good with my Jaguar and my Hallmark 60 Custom too), and surprisingly loud. I use ZT's proprietary extension cab for richer sound. I usually use good amp-in-a-box pedals (Wampler Tweed '57 for the 325, Wam...
