Re: If Rickenbacker Didn't Exist
We'd all have Telecasters (if you don't already).

Re: Bigsby for a 330
I don't hear any change in tone, per se. Maybe a touch more sustain, but that could be the tune a matic bridge as much as the Bigsby. Really enjoying it. I put a Bigsby on everything... My Rics were always elusive.

Re: Bigsby for a 330
ric bigsby 4.jpg So, this works but it wasn't as drop in as was described... It is, however completely reversible with no irreversible mods to the guitar. My guitar guy (who is very competent and reasonable) had to do quite a bit of work to make the after market parts fit. First, the Winfield bridg...

Re: Bigsby for a 330
You need a TOM style bridge to attached the Towner String Tension bar, which gives you the break angle for a Bigsby 330. The other Towner stuff (hinge plate adapter and v block pushes the whole Bigsby back 1/2 or so, which likewise increased the break angle and fits the Bigsby hinge to the bottom ri...

Re: Bigsby for a 330
Update on this, I have just ordered a Towner V block. It's just a block of Al that pushes the Bigsby further back off the guitar, but I'm wondering if it might make a B3 usable with a Ric 330. I don't have a B3 yet to test it with - next paycheck. Looks a bit clunky but it's reversible. I'm trying ...

Have Hi Gains got hotter over the years?
As a product of the 80's college music, I like hi gains over toasters. I had a 90's 330 that I mistakenly sold-- loved the pickups. I recently came into a 2020 330 and the pickups seem way hotter without a lot of headroom before overdriving. Have hi gains got hotter over the years? I'd like to switc...

Re: Toaster Replacement-- any idea?
We took it out-- it is a Creamery mid '63. Interesting combination of pickups. The prior owner tried to make a Lennon out of an early 90's with hi gains. Certainly chose nice replacement pickups!

Re: Toaster Replacement-- any idea?
I'll have the pic of the back tomorrow-- though that would make sense having a humbucker b/c the bardens are noiseless.

Toaster Replacement-- any idea?
Greetings from Chicago!
I'm looking at a 1991 320 where a prior owner replaced the hi gains with toasters-- 2 are Barden Toasters and the middle is this pickup. I'm not familiar with a maker whose pickup would have the texture that the black plastic does on this one. Any ideas?
Thanks!

Will at 325 TRC fit on a 330?
Hello:
I'm trying to find a gold truss rod cover for my turquoise 330 and have found one from a 325. Is the trc from a 325 the same size as one on a 330?
Thanks!
Bob
