Re: Roger and Marty

I must have been right behind you - row D seat 19. I think your review is spot on. Not a whole lot to ad - I've only seen Roger play acoustic up until now, and his voice has always been strong. Seemed like he wasn't used to the volume and musicianship of this band. I was shocked he was using a Rolan...

Roger and Marty

Promises to be a great show - I saw both of them separately at the Stagecoach festival earlier this year. Marty is a monster and plays Clarance's original tele, just as well, if not better than Clarance did. The backing band, including Kenny Vaughan is phenomenal. Looks like Roger will be playing el...

Re: LOTS OF PROJECTS NEARING COMPLETION...

Love the deletion of the pick guard. The two deck pick guard design is an interesting and signature element, but when you have wood, and a finish like that it would be a shame to hide it with a big blob of plastic!

Re: 7th Annual SCARF - This One Goes To 11!

Hi,
I've just been swimming (it's gone well beyond wading) through the posts on SCARF. Didn't see any word on a Rickenbacker factory tour like we were able to for the 75th. Any word on a possibility of this?

Thanks,
Jim

Dr Z Amps

Does anyone have a Dr Z amp? I was doing some research on Trainwreck Amps, which led me to Dr Z (he's making a Z wreck, using some of the Trainwreck designs). Anyway, they have a few models I'm interested in and was wondering if anyone has one and what their thoughts are. Specifically the Z28 model ...

Hi Guitar

A friend passed this along to me. Take a look at these knock off's. I can't speak for the quality, but at least in the pictures they look accurate. Amazing the sheer number and types of guitars they are copying - you can even get a knock off of an Epiphone (why?). Didn't see any Ricks in there. The ...

Re: The Dirty Knobs

Arrgh ... can't believe I missed that show. I've been wanting to see his band. Cozy's is just a small blues bar on Ventura Blvd. Although I haven't been there since it remodeled, it's really just an average bar with a small stage. They have blues jams once a week, and the other nights everything fro...

Gibson EMS-1235

I've always wanted one of these, as opposed to the EDS-1275 6/12 string. I've never seen one for sale until now. At this price I can safely say that I will never own one!
