Mus. Fr and the 4003S

Spent 15 minutes on phone with Musician's Friend today. They have no knowledge or paperwork concerning if they are carrying the 4003S series in the near future. I have to assume that the big wigs that purchase for the company would be the only ones to know. My agent had NO clue. I was the first sour...

Re: TC Electronics Cabs

Well, IMO there is no better bass amp on the market for the $. True quality , very powerful, tight, lots of features and can be used on just about any gig. I suggest you try one out. The price is WOW too. And its so portable and light!!!

Pobbibly selling my Mint 4001C64 FG

Just so forum bass players can see this post, I have been trying to decide if i should sell my C64. It has NEVER been out of the house, and it comes out of the case maybe once a month to check it over. Strung with Pyramids, the action and tone are dead on McCartney. it's like getting a brand new one...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

To anyone who even cares, I was able to return my 4001S GC SPECIAL back to the WI store where my was located, and I received a 100% refund to my credit card. Out of sight out of mind. Sorry if I offended some of you because a $3400 bass had imperfections, but it did and I'll never make that kind of ...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

Hello members, just left the Ric International forum and I have been slammed for my truthfulness. i think that I will retire from the forum business. Befor I leave, I want everyone to know that i received 3 PM's that not only backed up my claims, but mentioned flaws that I did not notice (didn't kee...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

Sorry Paul It's just that I'm so overwhelmed with the whole purchase situation that I keep feeling that I have to defend myself when this is clearly a retail, wholesale, or whatever blunder and customer service at the factory actually washed their hands and the bass hadn't even been played yet. Didn...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

It is NOT confusing. As soon as I slipped the case out of the cardboard shipping box, I noticed that the right side nap was broken, called the salesman back over showed him, told him to call Rickenbacker customer service and tell them what happened and what to do. I was standing right there!!! Custo...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

I'm not sure, but I made dam sure that it goes back exactly at it came. Exact packaging, no finger smudges on the chrome, tuned down a bit, and NEVER fill out that warranty card unless you are positive you are gonna keep it. A side note here that i did not mention. When I went to GC to pick it up on...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

Well its official, Just called GC customer service, setting up return and refund for my 4001S Special. It is an embarrasment for the money and I don't really care who is offended by my comments. I could have bought 2 4003's for the price of this one gem. I'm disqusted that this bass left the factory...

Re: GC Rickenbacker 4001S Special?

Set up was like an amateur did it. It was a really bad example of a poor quality controlled bass coming from the factory. I also do not understand why no "0" fret? All the important, yet simple things for best playability were overlooked. Regardless, of personal playing preferences, all f...
