Re: RIO PICTURES

I can't remember his name but this forumite brought two very nice Ric six stringers... CIMG1631.jpg Ya gotta love the Toasters1 Those would be Chip Ficyk's. Re: RIO Thank You Thread

Thank you to Jeff and Shari as well. What a great event. I couldn't believe how fast time flew by and I didn't get to play nearly as many as I wanted. It was also great meeting all you cool people (and Peter :D ) I also wish I would have played the walnut 4002 while I had the chance! So many basses,...

Re: RIO PICTURES

I'm still wiping the drool off my chin... Plus, it was great meeting everybody. Next time I'll make sure I don't have a gig on the same day. And Peter, I've instructed my wife to never open the door for left-handed Englishmen.

Take it easy,

Re: New to forum

Wow. Great to have you here, Bob. I've been a Bears fans since the 80's. Everyone should definitely check out the Live at Club Cafe DVD (and everything else). A killer version of King Crimson's "Red" and one of my fav Bears' tunes, "Caveman." I love the line: "It's good to b...

Re: Newbie here, with a question...

Hi Mike, Welcome to the forum. The serial number decoder is at http://www.rickenbacker.com/service_serials.asp . I bought my first Rick (MG 4001) right before I graduated from high school in 1977. It was gigged for years and is definitely not in excellent shape! There's a lot of knowledgeable and ve...

Re: for my birthday, i bought this...

I have a red '85 4003 with BT that is absolutely wonderful. It plays perfectly and sounds great. I bagged it on a $700 BIN a while back. I also have a red '85 4003 with BT as well. It's got the slimmest neck of all my Ricks. I always loved the red/black trim combo on the 4003. Doesn't work on 330's...

Re: Question for 4002 owners....

Also, can anyone let me know just where I can find actual 4002 recordings? Thomas, Here's a recording I did with my 4002 back in '06 with the Ryan Humbert Band. http://www.ryanhumbert.com/clients/rhb/music/10%20Trampoline%20(Band%20Demo).mp3 I believe I used the 4002 on the entire "Well, Whate...

Re: 4002 alert....

I have my eye on it...are those tuners correct? anything else look replaced? Depending on how the auction goes..I should be goin' for it I just took a look at mine and those tuners are the same. Everything else looks ok to me. I always wanted a mapleglo one (mine's walnut). Good luck on the auction.
