Re: SLOPPY WORK NEW 4003
I am unfailingly polite when I have to talk to customer service. But if I encountered someone with a big ego, which almost always comes with an attitude, I'm not going to change the way I approach them. It is incumbent on the people providing the service to sublimate their ego, attitude and personal...

Re: SLOPPY WORK NEW 4003
This forum is not a soapbox for you to broadcast your unhappiness with the company. Try TalkBass or plenty of others where Rick-bashing, some deserved and some undeserved, is more welcome. Yeah, heaven forbid anyone call Rickenbacker out for the decline in workmanship, QC and lack of customer servi...

Re: SLOPPY WORK NEW 4003

Re: can't adjust truss rods on 2015 4003 basses
RIC shouldn't ship a truss rod wrench with their guitars any more than a car manufacturer should ship cars with tools. Most people are incapable of using tools on either product correctly, and would just end up voiding the warranty by screwing something up. Considering that other makers provide tru...

Re: Geddy with a 4005
I watched this last night. Great bass and as always they sound great. But that's an embarrassing vocal performance. Understandable, I guess, given how high he used to sing and how the voice changes as people get older. Still, not great.
That didn't stop me from preordering r40, though.

Re: To soon to ask?
OK, I'll be the one to toss it out here, I'm sure everyone is wondering,,, I'm as big a Chris Squire fan that there ever was,, and have nothing but respect and sympathy for his friends, family and loved ones. But I have to ask the question,,, does anyone know where his famous RM1999 may have landed...

Re: Can a replacement Truss Rod Cover be ordered or not?
I know I'll never find out, but I'd like to know exactly why this policy was implemented. Not some vague reasons about preventing fake copies, but what actual things occurred to make them change the policy.
This is just another example of RICs lack of customer friendly policies.

Re: Can a replacement Truss Rod Cover be ordered or not?
RIC will replace a damaged TRC, for a fee, and then only with the same kind that you send to them. They used to, also for a fee, swap legitimate covers for any cover they stocked, but that was discontinued some years ago. The only options for replacing a cover with a different style is to either fin...

I've never seen this, but I'm well familiar with Mr. Welk and his show. When I was a kid, my grandmother watched it every week.

Re: Who's still waiting on a 4003S?
What a BS move. Let's not pretend that you're not waving it over everybody's head like you're in with the cool kids who have inside information. People who do stuff like that just **** me off. Well, I'd rather ****you off than people who share info with me confidentially. I'm sorry you're not in wi...
