On the topic of 5ers... I have no interest in a low B. But as a Peter Hook fan (I know that he had a 6er), I'm wondering if could you just do a high B on a 5er instead?
Could you string any 5er in that way or would you need a new nut?

Has any board member swapped out the treble pickup ring with something a bit "flatter"? I play with a pick and am finding that the stock ring (sans cover) is getting in the way and my hand position is not as comfortable as it is on my Ibanez and I'd like to give myself some more strumming ...

... Regarding brass vs. aluminum, I would have thought the brass would enhance sustain better, any feedback on that from someone who's tried both? Does the chrome finish hold up on these bridges? ...tried the brass first: longer sustain, more brilliance in tone and deeper bass( somewhat hifi) more ...
