Stolen Rick

Hi there. This is Ed in Seattle and I haven't been on the forums for years since I no longer have my Ricks after my ugly divorce. I hope to one day get a 4003 or 4004L BBR at a decent price. LOL. Things sure have changed here and it's looking good. Also just found out that Dale Fortune is moving out...

Re: Selling my 2005 4003 Blueburst

Brian,

That bass is long gone. Put it up on the bay and it sold. It's now in Pasadena, CA. It's was mother who bought it as a gift for her son.

Re: Dos Bass

Glad to see this project mentioned on this board.
Justamente Dos is a really great album.
I've tried at a point to do a similar project with the bass player from 66 Saints. Didn't work out quite the way I expected.
But I love the idea of duo bass with fem on vox project. Always have.

Re: Anyone for a bass from a flood?

I like it too.
It's definitely from the 80's. Look at the two screw bridge.
Looks like a good project bass. Anyone know if the wood is salvageable? Looks pretty tattered.
Paul? Dale?

Wish I could afford it. I miss the ones I had.
I don't care what anyone says, I love these basses. Aesthetically and sonically beautiful.

JB,
Thanks! Glad to slowly come back.
I guess this applies to 4001 models too? I've seen some on gbase that have the two screw tailpiece.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the input. Now I just need to find a beaten '88 JG 4003 and then I'll be in business. One question though, there is a 1989 4003s MGBT on the bay right now and it doesn't have the two screw tailpiece. Belongs to forumite Ben Brown. I assume this is when they transitioned? ht...

4003 tailpiece question

I have noticed that there are some 4003 tailpieces that have two screws on the end. While the majority of 4003 basses or newer factory tailpieces do not, I was curious as to which model and year basses have the factory installed tailpiece that utilizes the two screws. I assume this is to prevent tai...

Mike, So manufacturing is still done in Upland/Ontario? It just doesn't make sense where there is a lot of sun and people can take advantage of solar energy that companies and the government would discourage the use of such technology. But hey, it's the wild west and someone's got to get rich from i...

Jim, Where abouts you plan on venturing? Bass NW has nothing right with regards to Ricks but a nice place to check out. Also, Emerald City Guitars has some Vintage Ricks but very expensive. They are close to BassNW. As Ethan stated, Guitarville carry some new Ricks but they are north of Downtown Sea...

I like it and glad to see the spirit of The Beatles is being carried on to new generations.
You'd be surprise by the number of young kids who know Beatles music and love it.
I say more power to the movie and music.
