Thanks. I'm putting her in the hands of an expert. I obviously am not an expert!

Re: Stick/gummy finish

I have found a luthier who says he has seen this problem a few times before, and can fix the problem. I'll post again after he does the job. Should be next month.

Re: Stick/gummy finish

I realize this thread is sort of stale, but I seem to have the same problem. My 2006 620\12 Blue Burst is gummy on the back of the neck, body and headstock. I thought there was some sort of coating on it, and like an idiot, I scratched it with my fingernail. I put a couple of nice gouges in the fini...

Re: Blueboys?

Amazon delivered the Swirl-X and Zymol yesterday. The worst of the yellowing came off in seconds.
The more subtle yellowing took about 10 minutes. I only worked on the back of the guitar, but I achieved great results quickly.
THANK YOU forum members for all your help.

Re: Blueboys?

There is a recent thread on the RIC corporate forum about this. It was reported that the greening comes from leaving the guitar in the case. One owner reported being able to get the guitar back to stock BLUEBOY with a cotton diaper and some elbow grease... http://www.rickresource.com/register/galle...

Re: Blueboys?

Is there any way to get the BB to finish greening all the way? My guitar sat in a case for 5 years, only getting played once a year or so. I took it out of the case this week to take some photos for the purposes of selling it....and.....the back has started to get green. It seems to me (and three pe...

Re: The 4005 is not coming back.......but what if....

Looks to me like that Photoshop job in the OP has the neck out of scale (too small with relation to the body) quite a bit, and that either we'd need a larger body (putting it back into Tuna Boat range) or a short scale neck. Meh... Lol ......my Photoshop chop job was done in five minutes. I ...

The 4005 is not coming back.......but what if....

Rickenbacker has mixed and matched bodies, necks etc....to come up with new models before.....
Why not a 330 body and a 4003 neck?

Re: What Color Would You Like To See?

Another burst color is what I would like to see added permanently.
Green Burst.... Black Burst.... Brown(Monty) Burst....

Also....
I would just like to say...This is the longest thread I have ever started. Mine usually die after 3 posts.
