That's pretty cool. 4004s are easier to maintain than 4003s, in my experience. It should clean up quickly.
They have quite a different sound from the typical 4003. Great for someone who's looking for something different.
How much does he want for it?

Re: Treble Pickup Surround Screws
Its a wood screw. (A #3 wood screw to be specific) RIC part number 05200, I believe. Its the same screw that RIC specifies for the TRC, Output Jack Plate, and Tuning Machines. A #3 wood screw - about 3/8" long. That's the easy part. The hard part is the Round Head with Phillips drive slot. And...

Nope.aceonbass wrote: Kluson tuners are not direct replacements for Grover tuners. In fact part of the A tuner will hang over the edge of the headstock, and be exposed from the front.

The Kluson tuners with black ferrules should fit just the post holes fine, although you will need to drill new screw holes into the headstock.

And before I sell the V63 to Kevin,I first have to buy a C64(S). But this seems to be impossible.I cannot find one  . http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=415950 I take it you mean either C64 or C64S. If that's true, just hop on over to this forum board to find the former.

A picture of the wiring harness and pickups would be informative.

The site's antiquated layout is endearing. It reminds me of the days of Geocities.

Re: 600-Series Shape Changes
Now, just to throw a wrench in the works, what the heck is the story on this 2006 model? I would buy one like this in an instant if it had the smaller headstock. That looks a lot like one shown on Paul Wilcynski's site here: https://www.studio-california.com/restomod-620-vs-625 DSC00291sm.jpg

Re: Geddy Lee’s Big Beautiful Book of Bass
I'm so excited about this. I preordered the book in April. Is anyone going to get the "Ultra Limited Edition" for $950? It's no question which marque inspired the tolex case design. :D https://rushbackstage.com/product/6XAMRU0174/ultra-limited-edition-geddy-lees-big-beautiful-book-of-bass?...

Thanks for the replies, guys. Much appreciated.
I see it on some high-gain bridge pickups in the late '60s and early '70s.

Treble Pickup Ring Question
Hello, I searched the forum and beyond for an answer, but can’t find anything. In what year was the “flush edge” of the treble pickup ring discontinued and replaced with the stepped edge? A picture of a modern pickup ring is shown. Does anyone know when this was introduced? 0CA7F228-4021-4B8E-80C2-1...

Re: 2nd Edition progress
I asked for this book for my birthday last year and I love it. The information and pictures it contains compelled me to play more, and I find myself more passionate about Rickenbacker basses than I ever imagined was possible. Thank you for writing such a wonderful book.
