Re: 660/12 ????
I got extremely lucky a couple years ago and picked up my 660/12 Fireglo from Musician's Friend as an "open box" "scratch & dent" purchase. The OLNY issue with it was the lower pick guard was cracked by an over tightened screw. I got an OEM replacement from CME for $60.0US. T...

Re: Voiding warranty
Ditto on the remark regarding "factory specification" strings.
I like the strings that came on my new 660/12, and I'm more than willing to stay within the specs, but even the online spec page for my guitar doesn't list type/gauge of strings.

Tom's 660/12 was not actually Tom's 660/12, at least not the one on the cover of Damn the Torpedos. That belongs to Mike Campbell.

Rickenbaker International Web Site Issues?
I've been attempting to access the official Rickenbacker web site over the last several days but I cannot seem to connect. Anyone know what's going on?
I'm anxious to learn ll there is to know about my new RIC.
Thank you?

Re: Monday is NGD 660/12 Fireglow
Just loving this guitar especially once I installed the Celestion Blue 12" Alnico speaker in an old Univox cabinet and plugged it into my little Vox AC4TV amp. Opened the sound right up.Now to upgrade the tubes and this thing will shine even brighter.

All tuned up- played it a bit through my USA Fender Blues, Jr. Sounds great, but it will take awhile to dial-in. Took me a bit to figure our the PUP configurations with that 5th knob. Guitar is mint except for the pick guard issue.
I'm a cappy hamper.

Re: Monday is NGD 660/12 Fireglow
Guitar arrived at my office today. Other than the cracked pick guard, the piece looks almost perfect. I won't get to try it out for another 5 or 6 hours when I can get it home.

I'm expecting the SKB as depicted in the ad. The silver cases are cool though.jdogric12 wrote:Yep, they shipped 660's with reissue cases for a while after the limited run ended. Not sure when it went to SKB's.

Hello. My name is Chuck [audience; "Hello Chuck"] I'm here because I have GAS, I admit it. I want to stop. I say I'll sell something when I buy yet another guitar. And I swore I was finished. My wife has been an enabler. She only shakes her head. No tough love here. So here I am. I became ...
