M8 value

Hi, I have a 1951 M8 that has a speckled black and white plain wood cabinet. I don't know if this is original or if it had tolex on it at one time. I've replaced resistors and caps and installed a weber speaker. Put a pedal in front of this amp and dime the amp and it is lights up. Great natural tub...

Get the schematic of this site, retube it and replace any leaking solid state components. Do a search for JJ tubes or Euro Tubes. A Weber speaker would bring the amp to life.
good luck

Hi Pete,
I found a two sets of numbers on the transformer from the inside of the chassis. The number is 25B70330 and under that is AL 5136. Do you know a good place for replacement capacitors etc. Do you know what speaker came in the amp originally?

Thanks Pete for the schematic link. There is an ID plate on the side of the amp cabinet that has the ID of T5257. I couldn't see a number on the transformer. I might have to take it out to see it. Maybe that ID plate info will help figure the year of this amp. Do you have any information on the spea...

Here are some pictures of the M-8 Amp that I need the year, speaker identification, and tube info on. What is the number of the small tube in the M-8? It is not a 12AX7. Any suggestions on cleaning the grill cloth stain? http://archives.rickresource.com/oldattachments/20466.jpg http://archives.rickr...

Yeah, I spoke with another player and he said leave it alone or I will detract from the value of the guitar. I just hate to go into the wood.

Neck Finish

Does anyone know what Rickenbacker uses for the finish of their fret boards. My fingerboard is worn under the fourth string and I would like to fix it. Where can I buy the product?

Neck finish wear from strings

Can anyone tell me how to repair the finish on the neck under the fourth string? You can see where the round wound string scratched through the finish. What kind of costing does Rickenbacker use on their necks?

TR35B Amp Cover Wanted

If anyone knows where I might find a Rickenbacker amp cover for the TR35B I would greatly appreciate hearing about it. I could get a LaCover or a Tuki but I'd like the real deal.
