Re: Recording Section

Thanks. More specifically I thought there used to be a section on recording techniques and technology.

Recording Section

Maybe my eyes have gone buggy this afternoon but wasn't there a "recording' section on the forum at one time?

Way to get it done in two minutes... that's a bit of a dying art.
Thanks. I keep them short so I don't have to write a third verse! :P

Thanks for listening. Truth be told the Rickenbacker sat out for this one, replaced by a $250 Danelectro. I hope this doesn't discredit me! :)

We're back / I'm back

It's been a couple of years since I've been 'round these parts. I guess having twin boys has distracted me?

Here's a brand new one for you.

Re: Andy Lewis with Paul Weller on Jimmy Kimmel

I don't think Weller gets his Ricks out often anymore. He seems to have played the Casino an the SG for the last 20 years or so. In an interview I read he advised against buying rickenbackers because "they aren't versatile". Either he needs a Rick signature guitar or a good spanking to fo...

Re: Catalinbread CB/30

I haven't had a chance to try any of these pedals but I think they would make great amp back ups. When I toured Japan half of the tour we had to use backlines supplied by the clubs. They always had great gear, mostly of the Marshall/Fender variety though, so having the CB/30 may have gotten me close...

Re: RRF mobile app?

I have no problem using my iPhone to browse the RRF, but a mobile app like the one for the Guitars Canada forum makes it much easier to navigate while on public transit, in a boring meeting or after having a few drinks at the bar etc. :D

Re: Catalinbread CB/30

Damn I prematurely purchased an AC30 clone. So CB have done Marshall, Fender, Hiwatt and Vox in a box. What's next?!

RRF mobile app?

How difficult would this to implement? I am a litlle clueless about how to go about designing apps. The GUITARS CANADA forum has a mobile app that works really well, finding myself spending a lot of time there these days.

Re: Ramona - A Way Over (original)

That soundwave is maxed out for nearly the whole song and there's no clips. How the heck did you do that? Haha! Thanks for the kind words Tom. The overly compressed soundwave completely lacking any dynamics is courtesy of OZONE mastering software by iZotope. The presets are a good place to start, y...

Re: Jetglo twins in video by Ramona

Dave and gang, I keep coming back to this song. Play it in my head during the day. Already a pure classic in IMHO. There are only 12 different tones plus octaves in Western Music. Timing is what makes a truly great song. This has been true for composers from Beethoven to the Beatles. Please post if...
