Re: Remember this Capri from last year?

Yes Kevin, Larry's kicked another goal, I wouldn't have bought the guitar if he hadn't asurred me he could rectify the many issues it had! So I'm really pleased with the outcome. :)

Remember this Capri from last year?

G'Day Guys, been a while since I've had something worthy to share, but I'm sure some of you will remember this one from last year, when it appeared on eBay. Well after having it evaluated by Larry Davis, I decided to take a plunge and buy it and get Larry to bring the guitar back to a more worthy state.

New fret board CP inlays. Sorry I can't seem to enlarge the pics to give better detail, so I guess you'll have to take my word that it's something worth having now! :)

So what's the Munich beer like Howard? You've been there a while now to have had a few samples. :D

Coming to grips with the jet lag yet?

Have a great time and don't forget to check in and let us know what you're up to!

Re: Aitch's 2009 UK adventure

Boy you sure have packed heaps of things into this holiday, it's going to take you a couple of week at least to recover. It seems your hosts have done you proud with all the sight seeing and keeping your whistle wet! :D I reckon when you hit the sack here on Friday, you won't see daylight again for ...

Re: Aitch's 2009 UK adventure

Seems like you and Graham are having a wow of a time, and packing heaps into each day. :) Pity you haven't found time to have a bit of a jam yet. I'm sure if you trott out a few Rics Graham, Howard would be more than willing to play them, in fact I'm amazed he's not suffering withdrawal symptoms fro...

Re: Thank You Larry Davis!!!

Turned out really nice Paul, you just can't beat that binding on the body, headstock and sound hole, really lifts a guitar IMHO. Larry's done a magnificent job once again. Tell me have your eyes got use to the colour, are you game to take the sunglasses off yet? LOL The hardware and the binding tone...

Re: Aitch descends on the USA and Canada - again!!

We had one of our gatherings of the clan on Saturday, to do the usual stuff, but it was mainly to give Howard a good send off. So we made sure he was primed with plenty of grog and pizza, (good beer food), for his annual pilgramige to the States - so look out he's in really good form! LOL He's alrea...

Re: Middle pickup & 5th knob blues

Well, absolute success, thanks to John! :D After swapping the pickup wires around, I tried the guitar out before doing the other mod, and it worked a treat so there was no need to wire the 5th knob pot directly to the jack - that problem was fixed also! Very pleased now with the result, so many than...

Middle pickup & 5th knob blues

Here's one I hope someone can help with. I've just completed putting in a Ric HB in the bridge position of my guitar, (the other two are Hi Gains) and decided to do the 5th knob mod for the centre pickup, as per the instructions at: http://www.faqs.org/faqs/music/guitars/rickenbacker/ Well the resul...
