Re: Stainless Steel vs. Nickel on Rotosounds

Tom, try these stainless strings. You might just be surprised, and they last longer than the Rotos.

When I suggested calling, I meant calling to find out if/when lefties would be in production. You could also find out about order cancellations and whether it happened or was just the dealer clearing his books. :)

Welcome to the RRF William. That is a tough thing to find out after this long a wait. Have you tried calling RIC Customer Service to find out about the lefty situation as to availability and the cancelling of your order?

Same here. That baby is STABLE and a good candidate for a conversion to 8-string.

Gilmourisgod wrote:I always wondered why the neck pickup route is so huge in comparison to the size of the pickup? The depth would allow for adjustment up and down, but what was the thinking on the width? It seems like a lot of wood to remove unnecessarily at the neck/body joint. Gorgeous refin job BTW.
Yup, me too.

Re: 4001 internal routing

Rikk, it is possible the one with the rounded hole rout was a leftover from earlier production and it was finally finished and sold.
