Sorry - couldn't work out how to cross-post from another section, so cut'n'paste it is! --------- Hey guys, What's the general range these pickups were wound to? I have a c.'48 NS that I'm currently troubleshooting - the pickup measures 1.8K ohm with the volume/tone controls out of the picture. I'd ...

Late 40's NS steel pickup - DC resistance?
Hey guys,
What's the general range these pickups were wound to? I have a c.'48 NS that I'm currently troubleshooting - the pickup measures 1.8K ohm with the volume/tone controls out of the picture. I'd have thought them to have a bit more wire than that!

To further mutate the thread;

Re: 12-string songs by Petty, Byrds, Beatles, you enjoy playing?
Although not strictly within the parameters of this distorted thread, here are a couple I play with my band on 12 string. Wish you were here, Pink Floyd Wonderwall, Oasis (the intro/main progression) Computer Games, Mi Sex (the synthy parts) Down to the waterline, Dire Straits (for no other reason t...

Re: Knob Question
It's refreshing to know that nobody made the obligatory "knob" double entedre (well...a 1.5 entendre at least). I think we're all growing as human beings.

I second that...particularly if we're talking about the great live version on Remember that nightjps wrote:Nice! Now go learn Echos. The perfect song for that Strat.

Re: More eBay evil...
Hey Mark, I feel your pain on this one. This one was even harder to pick as it came from eBay as an official second chance offer. A mate of mine recently got done on a second chance offer such as yours - I normally do his eBaying - he's a touring musician, so I'm glad it wasn't me. I know exactly ho...

More eBay evil...

Well, I just got a real, ebay initiated second chance offer from an auction I'd missed out on by $50 - a nice looking 1966 Gibson J-45. I snapped it up, but because of the timing thought it was pr...
