Re: McGuinn, Clark, and Hillman
Oddly enough, self-abuse doesn't always result in death or even a failed career in rock and roll. David Crosby is still with us. Then there is Jerry Lee Lewis, he must have signed a pact with the devil

If we are talking about a gibson, there's no set screw, just pull them off. Watch out for the pointy little position marker, they bite!

Clapton's 'Wonderful Tonight'. True love should be more inspiring. Also hated playing this over and over in cover bands. I know it's a job but still... And people still request it all the time!

Love Dicky Betts, not that Duane isn't great but Dicky didn't get enough credit for the creation of the Alman Bros sound

Re: A Moment In Time With Leslie West
I read on the Mountain web site that after Mountain folded West was forming a new band with Paul Rogers but then Jack Bruce, Leslie's idol, came along. `West Bruce and Lange` followed. Rogers went on to form Bad Company! Can you imagine Bad Co with West on guitar Ohh man, I can.

Where's peewee ?
Maybe I missed something but what happened to Forumite Mike Dutton [peewee]?
I have missed his input, comments, humor and deep knowlege the Blues.
It was interesting to hear from a full time working musician.

Re: A Moment In Time With Leslie West
I would say that Mountain was one of the best live bands of thier era. Very Cream-like. Of cource Felix Papalardi [bass/vocals] was the producer on Disrali Gears. West is one of my all time favorite guitarists and a great singer as well. Awsome vibrato, sustain and very melodic. The album 'Moutain C...

Personally I don't think a third P.U. is big deal, though my experience has been with non Ric guitars. How does the switching work? Can you turn off the middle pickup?

Dean I was going to P.S. Jeff Healey.
Full on attack!
He didn't always have the best matterial [sometimes but not always], but he played the livin' heck out of it!
He's in my top 5.
