Re: UK Conference??

Yes, 2006 in Birmingham. Sponsored by Rics R Us which changed its name, I think because of pressure from RIC Inc. Great fun!

Ianthe McGuinn's book

I am reading Ianthe (Delores) McGuinn's book 'In the Wings' about her marriage to Roger. Interesting! What would be even more interesting would Roger's take on this book.

Colfax Guitars

I sent my 370 12 string for a setup with Colfax Guitars in Denver. Dan Rice did a great job with very fair prices. I would recommend him for any RIC work you may have. You can see my 370 here at Ricksource under Reflections of a Curmudgeon.

Re: Set Up for my 370-12

I did a provisional setup and everything seems good except I am getting a 'tinny' sound from the high e strings. Not sure what that means - any ideas?

Set Up for my 370-12

I am in Casper, Wyoming, not a great place for luthiers. I am wondering about Colfax Guitars in Denver CO if anyone has had dealings with them. Their website looks good. My 370-12, by the way, is on Paul W's curmudgeon/Studio California sites.
Thanks!

Re: 370-12 Refit

Since Paul did his work on my 370-12 here, I had Dave's Guitars in Wisconsin replace the 6 string bridge with a 12 string bridge. The difference is truly amazing. Much more jangle and stays in tune. Anyone know why 12 strings bridges are not standard? By the way, Dave's Guitars is a great business. ...

Re: RM 1998 pickups and bridge placement

I am assuming that the pickups on the newer models were placed closer together and further away from the neck to allow greater strength between the neck and the body-yes?

Ordering From The Company

I am trying to order a bracket tailpiece from RIC. I can't get the online ordering system to 'Check Out'. When I phone RIC, I do not get a person, just various buttons to push, but no operator or customer service. Anyone else have any trouble like this? Suggestions?

370-12 Refit

I have been remiss in not getting these photos of Paul's work on my 370-12. I bought this stock from Dave's Guitars in 2011 and sent it to Paul for the toasters, binding, and sparkle inlays which Paul included in the overall price. He did a wonderful job!

Byrds Clippings

For Byrd fans I have 3 magazines that I think were published in Britain. There used to be a wonderful rock bookstore on Denmark street in London where the Fender shop is now. I picked these up there around 2000. The large magazine, Back Pages: The Byrds, has 218 pages of clippings and interviews inc...
