I found one online that looks like mine:

So I guess it's not unique.

Re: Rickenbacker 350v63 bridge question - is this normal?
I just worry that if I send it back for an exchange I'll get one that has the same deal but that doesn't play as nice. I think I'll hang onto it.
I'll try to get a picture up later so folks can see what I mean.

Re: Rickenbacker 350v63 bridge question - is this normal?
I'm not at home so can't take a picture, but I have a question about the bridge on my newly purchased (2019 model) 350v63. The strings align with the neck properly and it plays and sounds great so this is probably just cosmetic, but looking at the saddles the low E string notch is really far to the...

330W neck relief question
Hello all, I just recently got a Ric 330 walnut, 2014 model. It plays and sounds fantastic but I have a small problem. With my string gauge of choice (.010 D'addario XLs), the neck has a tiny bit of back bow with the truss rods loosened almost completely slack. (Any looser and the nuts start to ratt...

Re: Trouble with 4004 Cheyenne i bridge
So for closure for anyone following this saga, I took the bass to my local GC (I had ordered it used online from GC.com) and the guy there took one look at it and said "they never should have sold this to you" and took it back with full refund. Thanks everyone. My search continues I suppo...

Re: Trouble with 4004 Cheyenne i bridge
I dunno, I suspect it's the neck. I had a couple of guitars that had the neck pickup in the 1/2 inch position and both needed luthier services to correct it. I think that's why RIC went to the 1 inch spacing. I think the angle of the picture is making it look worse than it is, but I'm worried that ...

Thanks for the info everyone, this is all rather discouraging. I'm afraid I may have to send this one back.

How would a luthier go about fixing something like that...?loverickbass wrote:I dunno, I suspect it's the neck. I had a couple of guitars that had the neck pickup in the 1/2 inch position and both needed luthier services to correct it. I think that's why RIC went to the 1 inch spacing.

Re: Trouble with 4004 Cheyenne i bridge
Thanks for the pictures Tom. I tried to replicate yours, albeit with my phone. I also included a shot of the action on my 4003. The increments on the ruler are 64ths of an inch. Looking at the saddles (I have only messed with the low E so far, ignore the others): http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y56...

Re: Trouble with 4004 Cheyenne i bridge
Looking at pictures of other 4004s like mine, I think it is indeed the original bridge. I wonder if the neck on mine has been pulled forward (not the straightness of the neck, the angle). I'd be surprised if that were the case with a neck-through maple neck, but I just don't get why the action is so...
