Re: MJ

Totally shocked by the news, I'd heard rumours of his ill health but this was very unexpected. RIP :(

Anyone know where to find backing tracks of The Smiths?

I'm learning some of their songs and would find some kind of backing track useful to play along to, they don't have to free backing tracks either.

Thanks,
Steve.

Re: Finally got the Ric I wanted! (330 Blueburst content)

I wanted to mention something...my frets are blue, is it normal for frets to be oversprayed with the body colour? You can see it on the first pic I posted, the frets match the light blue on the centre of the body. I think it looks quite nice :)

Re: Finally got the Ric I wanted! (330 Blueburst content)

How much is that in US currency? Just shy of $1400. For future reference: Currency Converter I'm not sure if it's such a good deal when converted to $$$ but considering some shops are selling new 330's in the UK for £1500 ($2480) and they generally cost around £1200 average price now, £850 doesn't ...

Re: Finally got the Ric I wanted! (330 Blueburst content)

Thanks guys :) The guitar is in perfect condition, all the case candy is untouched and the keys are still sealed in their envelope, the polishing cloth is also unused. The guy that I bought it from said that he only played it a few times due to his hands being too big, I guess his disadvantage is my...

I read an *interesting* thing about Ric guitars...

In a random article I found on Google (just food for thought), it basically said that Rickenbacker guitars, in comparison to other major brands of guitar, do not play well and are mainly purchased because of the sound. Obviously we are all fans of Rickenbacker or else we wouldn't be on the forum but...

Re: */12 models - tones, strengths, weaknesses, opinions?

What are slides like on a 12 string? Much more difficult than on a 6 or not too hard?

Re: I may go for a 360...

The serial number he gave was 19831, I added random letters in front of it to try and work it out. As far as I'm aware the only variation it could have would be different letters before the numbers, right? Or is there another alternative e.g. letters after the numbers?

Wow, what a nice guitar. That tailpiece is quite minimalist compared to the 'R'. looks okay though.

Re: I may go for a 360...

I heard back from the guy with the 360 for sale, everything seems okay with it, he has a receipt from a setup and told me where he purchased it. He gave me the serial number but it was not recognized, I think he just typed it wrong as the guitar shows no signs of being counterfeit. UPDATE: Hmm, he t...

Re: I may go for a 360...

^ I'll settle for a 330 or 360, I had seen that particular deal on the Jetglo 330 and was interested in it. Thanks.

I was going to ask yesterday, how come the forum doesn't have a Ric classified section? or did I just miss it?
