Re: PYTHON STRAP on your Rickenbacker?
it's bit too long...i have one from POTR -i i got it for 660/12 but that was just bad idea so i have been using it with double cutaway tele shaped body instead - there it works just fine. and yes it is on heavy side among the straps

Re: Kluson tuners with treaded bushings
it seems that you're after older schaller kluson like tuners - they don't make those with round metal button since like 1994...tone pros make drop in replacement with threaded bushings too (tony @ pickguardian is your source) . your second option is grover deluxe vintage..those have bit bigger shaft...

Re: dale fortune? anybody talked to him during last month?
same problem, anybody had a word from dale? he is owing me two sets of truss rods for 4000 since january - he was unable to provide any tracking number or even customs label number for those he said he shipped out in january, so later he promised to ship out "replacements" and he vanished ...

Re: Purchasing a guitar from the States (from overseas)
it has been my experience that it is ALWAYS easier to board the plane with it - ...i have never paid any custom fees for the guitar that i took with me (usa to eu) another big + is that you don't have to deal with shipping company and the crazy cost of that.

Re: Fumigant damage to Ric finish :-(
- for fine grit sandpaper & zymol try car care product stores or stores for those people who do small models of airplanes etc... that has been my own experience here in eu..., yet another approach is to strip the guitar of all the parts, wet sand the spots flat with 2000 and take it on a buffer ...

Re: Conversion varnish in the UK
Can anyone help me out? I had a 325 brought in to me for a bit of work (fret dress / setup and general TLC). Everything is great but there's a lot of fingerboard wear between the nut and 4th fret. When I say wear I mean right through and the owner's worn away some of the fingerboard. At this stage ...

Re: Strat String/Set Up Recommendations
just put those two missing springs back, it will give more stability to the bridge, that's the first thing i do with every strat style guitar that is missing some... or if you don't use tremolo at all just stick a small block of wood behind the block of the tremolo. it makes it hardtail right there.

Re: Pickup mods for a 360/12 into a 370/12 ?
mod does decrease the value but who cares if that's what you want? if you plan to sell it don't mod it :) adding the third pickup can change the sound a lot depending on what you're gonna do with it, e.g. you can get it hooked up with push pull knob - so you can choose when you turn it on, than if y...

Re: 4001C64 fretboard removal help
when the beam acquisition started to be a problem many people built their own with several heat lamps inline dangling down from the same contraption - that way you can pretty much regulate the heat as well.. the iron is ok solution too - especially if you get like two of them - than you can move pre...

Re: 4001C64 fretboard/neck separating HELP!!
this is something from bad dream, it is fairly common on 4001 at the nut and some older 12 string o at the end of fingerboard on the treble side.. but i haven't come across neck with modern rod that did that what you are describing yet, the modern neck goes in to severe backbow or wave instead when ...
