Re: Has anyone heard of broken headstocks on Rics?
Wasn't Lennon's (DB 122) broken at the headstock area?

Thanks to all. I thought that they were different, but a guy here told me that he thought they were the same.

Finish question
I suppose this would be best answered by Paul, but if anyone else has any input, please feel free to answer. I have a cheap electric no-name guitar which I know the previous owner re-finished with an acrylic lacquer. There are a couple of areas that I'd like to overspray with clear and I'm planning ...

UPDATE!! A little more info on Ted Mack 325 Capri
I just received an e-mail from the Bop-Kats guitarist Jerry Shaw in reference to the Capri seen on the Ted Mack video. Not a great deal more, but it is from the actual original owner of the guitar. Bob Hi, Bob and Sara, Been out of town and this is the first chance to get back to you. Saw your Rick ...

Ric and Big Muff Pi
I was wondering if anyone here has tried an Electro-Harmonix Big Muff Pi with their Ric? If so, what was your experience and your opinion?

Re: HELP with Epiphone EJ-160 pickup
Wouldn't the theory about the bronze strings only apply to the wound strings? Seems like to me that the E and B (1&2) should be pleanty loud if the pickup is working properly.

Re: Your favorite amp?
My favorite amp is a Vox AC15CC1X (Blue Celestion). I mostly play at church and in my music room at home, so I don't need the power of an AC30-----although I'd love have one. My wife on the other hand, would not be amused at all by an AC30

325C58 controls question
Can anyone give me a simple explanation for how the stock 325C58 controls are wired and how they control the different pickup selections? I know that the tone controls are wired backwards so that to turn up the tone, you actually turn the pots counter-clockwise, but the control of the volume for eac...

Re: 12 string song suggestions
I know it's a Byrd's song, but "Chestnut Mare" is super on a Ric 12.
Another great 12 song is Dave Mason's "We Just Disagree".

Re: Guitar stand trivia
I believe that the first tubular stand I bought (or saw for that matter) was in the early 1980's. I can remember playing many gigs in the 70's and having to keep my case close by to put the guitar in during breaks. I do have a memory of the Hamilton chrome guitar stand (much like their foldable musi...
