hahaha unobtanium ya, I just did my ric bridge on 88 4003 will post some pics used two dimes on each side of the screws.... three screws across..... so.... screw dimes screw dimes screw get it? the E still seems dead a little, but the A string pounds and rings tru! also, put DR hi beams on as well.....

1/16"-1/8" of tail lift is not a problem? Are you kidding me? I'm amazed at what some folks will put up with. If you think that kind lift has no effect on tone, you're kidding yourself. ha! yeah I had a salesperson at a music store try to sell me a new 2009 with about 1/8 inch lift, sayin...

just try slightly thicker coins, and increase as you go along also, size it up by close inspection by eye, and you will see the bridge start to sit slightly above the wood.....then the coins are just right/too big and, as you tighten the screws, you should "feel" some resistance, meaning t...
