If you bought a 320 in 1974 what strings?

I have a 1974/75 320 and I was wondering What kind of strings would have come on it if you bought it new? I have a set of Rickenbacker round wound 12s I got for it but what gauge would the originals have been? And would they have been flat wound in 1974?

Windfield Accent vibrato ??

Any advice on this replacement vib? The arm is either hanging really loose or its too tight to move. I can tighten it up so its stable but I can’t move it without completely losing it. I'v tried putting some other washers in but its still not prefect. I'v had an original Ric Accent vibrato in t...

Help me ID this 60s Ric...........

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated. I see it has 345-J in the body but isn't this a 330 FJ model? I'm sure the finish is original. You can see a shadow under the pick guard area, it has minor checking and it black lights as a 60's guitar should. Original frets and the pots all match to 66. Th...

Re: New AFG 1996

So if 153 were shipped in the USA, is that the total made? And are all the orders completed or are there still some being made?
At some point Rickenbacker should know exactly how manny 1996's were made total. That would be a nice bit of info the have!

Re: New AFG 1996

Thanks for that leftybass,

Theres one being sold on ebay now and part of the description has "Rickenbacker only made 200 of these guitars."

Now I know they had to be spacial ordered in 2006 but is it true there all made now and only 200 produced ? I'v never heard that before.

Re: New AFG 1996

Re: New AFG 1996

back-1.png This is the back of my 2006 AFG and an original Ric from the 60s with a AFG. They look pretty close to me or am I just not getting it? I know the backs on the FG's can have more of a blend but if you have the dark ages of the AFG then it seems you have to have more contrast. Can some one...
