Greg, I was able to grab that grillecloth - the price is good from what I can see. Thanks for the lead! As a footnote to this , i also bought from this seller, and it has taken over 6 weeks. Cloth has not arrived. Every excuse under the sun..."i've just recovered from a heart attack"........

I'm going to stick with tung oil on mine instead of Watco - I just received confirmation from the factory that tung oil is what they use over the entire guitar, neck and all. You can't go wrong following the factory recommendations!

John, give it some time. I'm 95% a bassist too, and I was able to adapt with no difficulty after a period of adjustment.

I never would have gotten that Watco isn't recommended for the maple necks from the past postings. Thanks for the clarification. What do you recommend for treating the maple, if anything? I think I've seen you mention wax, but I'd like to be sure. Is wiping the Watco only on the walnut sufficient pr...
