Judging from the postal code, that must be London Ontario, right? No: Phantom Books are proud to announce a special Q&A session with Rickenbacker CEO John Hall which takes place from 2pm next Saturday 19th March at Shapero Rare Books, 195 New Bond Street, London W1 1ND here in the UK. The event...

UV basecoat with CV topcoat started around Q4 of 2008. UV topcoat came in 2009. All DCM guitars were made in either 2006 or 2007.

Why do you say it's a c64 and not a v63? It was manufactured in 1998, right?

Re: how did paul mccartney’s 4001s not have a warped neck?
Paul’s bass DOES have a warped neck, but it has nothing to do with a lack of finish.
The headstock has pulled forward to the point where it is mostly unplayable at this point. Many early 60’s 4001 basses have met a similar fate.

Here's a GoFundMe that was set up for her. Evidently she had lung cancer and passed away this morning.

I defer to the experts but my understanding is that it was refinished multiple times over the course of its lifetime, hence why it never really looked very worn.

Re: 1966 Model 340 in black
Wow. I absolutely love this guitar. Adding that T-Top at the neck was an interesting choice (usually you’d see a humbucker at the bridge) but as Collin mentioned, it’s a desirable pickup and no doubt sounds really good! Wear like this is pretty uncommon on Ricks, and highly desired by many (includin...

Re: The Impact of Rickenbacker: 90 years, 90 songs
I didn't know Prince used a Rickenbacker on Purple Rain. Or that Radiohead used one on Creep. Cool to see Sleep and Kyuss on there. To clarify, Wendy Melvoin used a heavily-modded (G&L pickups) 330 on "Purple Rain", not Prince. Ed O'Brien used his 360 MG/BT (stolen in Denver in 1995) ...

Re: Ric cases & handles
Hi, I also have wondered about rickenbacker case history. I recently obtained two Rickenbacker "briefcases" of unknown origin and history I would love to learn more about. They are both typical grey with stitched leather black ends and handles, blue interiors and logos, very similar to gu...
