'Addanote' - online learning

First of all I apologise if this post is a) In the wrong forum and b) breaching any guidelines, however... ... I've been asked to post a link to post a link to the Addanote You Tube channel. Addanote is a new way of learning an instrument. Sort of like having a one-on-one lesson by video. I'll admit...

Ages since I posted anything on here, so...

... here's a track that I recorded with my bassist chum moltendog.

The tune is one of his ideas. Features my 360/12, my DeArmond Starfire Special and sitar. Bass was moltendog's Fender Geddy Lee Jazz IIRC. Keys, vocals and programming by me.

Yep, I'd also be all over that Hofner bass. I love that thing!

Cheers, Noel
Seeing as we've revived this thread... slightly!... I'll just point out that 'that guy' Kevin Shields played Fender Jazzmasters primarily with a bit of Jaguar.

Re: The La's

Ah, The La's! Flawed beauty. They showed so much potential but they just imploded. Lee Mavers was such a perfectionist- if I recall correctly, he completely disowned that first album as it didn't sound authentic enough. It's such a shame they never blossomed from their first record, although there a...

Re: Boss Compression Sustainer SC-3 pedal

For the record, if anyone IS looking into a Boss compressor, I'd recommend seeking out the old CS-1, which has a 'Treble/Normal' switch. It is much superior (in my opinion at least) to the CS-2 and the treble lift allows you to jangle to your heart's content. I've used this compressor since I first ...

Re: A Ric Creature On The Movie Make-Up Show FACE OFF

Did anyone pick the paisley Strat? Yeah. I didn't like what they did. They went freaky/psychedelic with their creation. They put the paisley pattern on the arm (that was cool), but the rest was ridiculously bad. http://cdn.fearnet.com/sites/default/files/images/News/TV/face_off_604_6.jpg Thanks for...

Re: Necks....

You get used to it. Personally I don't have an issue with the difference between my 360/6 and my Fenders or whatever. My 610/6 on the other hand has a very narrow neck, which was a bit of a surprise when it arrived! I was concerned that it would be awkward switching between it and other guitars, but...

Get yourself a 610, and after playing that for a while, the 360/12 fretboard will feel as wide as a motorway!

That's a lovely looking 12, by the way. Well done and welcome!

ps- nice Jazzmaster :)

Re: What was your second ricky?

Well, my first was (and is ) a Jetglo 2007 360/12 that I bought neew in June 2008 after almost 25 years of lusting for one. Unbelievably, I bought my second one less than a month later- a 1997 Fireglo 360/6, although it was a butchered one from ebay, so just a body/ neck. An ongoing project, I thoug...

Nice one Peter. Your guitar made me think of Mark Gardener from Ride, but I think his was a 330.

That's your first, now let's see how long it takes before you get another Rickenbacker. It's almost inevitable> It took me 25 years of lusting before I took the plunge. Now I have three!

Re: Ngd...

Hi Peter- congrats on your Ric!

If you are in the UK there was a case kicking around on ebay recently for 85 quid.
There is also noe there for £160 bin or offers.

They are nice cases, but pricey.
