Re: Ruby Red is Back?

I have a 1989 Ruby 330 which must be near the end of the original run of Ruby finish. It would be interesting to see the new and old finishes together to see how close they match. Does Ruby tend to change tint with age, like a white becoming yellowed? I don't see any signs of that but I have only ow...

2007 360-12 FG

Someone locally is selling a 2007 Fireglo 360-12 that is in virtually unplayed condition. Can anyone recommend a fair re-sale value for a 2 year old in like new condition? I think the new models are selling for ~$2600 or am I wrong about that?

Re: 1989 Ruby Red 330 with finish checking - value?

Hey Jingle,

Is there a preferred way of caring for a guitar with checked finish? Any special treatment to keep it from progressing?

Re: 1989 Ruby Red 330 with finish checking - value?

Well, I picked up the Rick a few days ago. It was a gear/cash swap so I can't estimate exactly what it cost me, but it's in the $1300-1400 range cash equivalent. In person the lines are definitely checking, it's just that the previous owner wasn't familiar with finish checking and didn't know exactl...

1989 Ruby Red 330 with finish checking - value?

Hi, I'm new here and this is my first post. I am considering buying a 1989 model 330 which looks to be in great shape except there is significant finish checking on the lower 1/3 of the body. The current owner (who is the second owner) stated the checking occurred when the original owner lost his he...
