'59 Capri-Grey Matter (Video)
Many years ago in the late 80's, when I was a wide-eyed teenager, there was a San Jose band named Grey Matter. I used to see them every chance I got. Great shows, great energy....great gear. I went up to the singer/guitarist one night and asked "Is that a 360?" Big smile on his end.....&qu...

Do like I did.....play a Martin dread for a few years, pick up a Ric 12 and you'll be bending to your heart's desire.

Re: Ric and Big Muff Pi
My son runs his 325v59 thru a Big Muff into a KT-66 powered 4x10" tweed combo. Pretty damn cool if you ask me. He can take it from mild bite & gain up to full on 60's garage fuzz, with a couple of tweeks it can get a great QOTSA tone as well. It's much more versatile than I would have guess...

Nope, it's a 2008.
Not a scratch on it though....can't imagine the original owner played it for more than 37 minutes over the past two years.
Nice.
PM sent.

Re: Neck Angle Question
Thanks for that pic for clarification. When I said 'reverse' angle, I meant reverse of what is the regular guitar norm. So, in looking at your pic, my 'reverse' would be your 'positive'. :) Looking at the pic I attached of my 370/12, you can see the strings angled down, towards the bridge (fingerboa...

Re: Neck Angle Question
Question for Robert: with reverse angle you mean that in your picture the neck is going down? Correct...opposite angle of standard Gibby, Fender, Martin, etc. The neck itself is straight, fret the 1st & 24th positions and you can just barely slip a business card between the string/fret at the 9...

Neck Angle Question
Morning all, I have a question regarding the neck angle on 300 series Rics. From memory (guitars no longer owned): My old #1 '66 330 had an angle that was pretty comparable to a Gibson...bridge was adjusted pretty high for good action. My '66 360/12, not as much angle, but not parallel to body. The ...

Re: What do you think about Rick Nut Sizes (300-series)?
- perhaps the median demographic for Ricks tends to be working on hairloom guitars rather than finding their players, and since that demo (43-year-olds) will be moving on... I find that to be much less true with Rics than other guitars. I'm on my 22nd Ric....vintage, new, reissue, solidbody, semi-s...

Re: What do you think about Rick Nut Sizes (300-series)?
This sounds more like a poll at The Gear Page.
A Ric is what it is.....and it's been pretty successful at being what it is for a few years now.
