Re: Mystery bass in official Ric Instagram feed
FWIW, I believe this photo is several years old (and was probably discussed here), and this is not the official Rickenbacker Instagram page (despite what it says). http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=391166 or http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=391164 :l...

That dependable butcher has a jackplate listed with that number on it; several RIC basses are listed, also a 360 in Blue

Re: Gardening at Night
Some of the "acoustic" sound can be the acoustically recorded 12 string. Peter said that they used to do that, record the 12 string mic'ed like an acoustic without P/U
I still wondering about the "sitar" sound. I am opting that it came from the 12 string with effects over it

Re: Is this a fake?
Look at the finish, most notably back of headstock picture... handrubbed? nitro? Nitro that I have seen/own has a very high gloss to it. Can Nitro be done in a matte/satin? At the very least, this guitar looks to have been de-glossed, except for the fingerboard. You need to buff nitro for glossy lo...
