Re: Is it happening? A new 4005?!

The pickups are in the less than ideal space, and the pickguard looks awkward . This was always a great body shape in search of refinement. I’d be into it if it added some modern corrections.

Honestly, it's not that out of line. Most USA made premium guitars are way over that. Go to PrivateReserveGuitars.com and see the selling prices of some Gibson, Fender Relics, Warwicks and even custom ESP's and Jacksons. They sell for more than this model lists for. IMHO Rics are still a bargain.

I'm still stunned on how good this guitar is. As a great player, good action, nice finish, nice balanced tone, light weight. A bargain in todays guitar market. It will be worth thousands in the future, but I'm never selling. I bet mine will be very worn in years to come. And I won't care!!! Bob Not ...

Yes, 11 of my guitars are hanging on my office walls so I can grab them whenever the mood strikes, and the others are on 4 guitars per stand stands. They are all out and all tuned and used. Yes, I have no life. (actually I have little interest outside the family, the guitars and the occasional movie...

Actually I think they have one of each guitars left where I ordered my 330. They ordered 2 of each model when I ordered mine.

Saw the Jam at JB Scotts in Smallbany NY, from the front of the stage, elbows on the wood, front and center. One of the first real bands I ever saw. Was 15 I think (old drinking age was 18, so it was much easier to pass for old enough then). Was supprised at how many strings PW broke. Seemed to reca...

What to do with old Guitar/Bass Player magazines?

I have several boxes of old Guitar Player and Bass player magazines. Some dating back to the 70's. I kept them thinking I'd re read them occasionally, but found out I never have time to do so. I looked on ebay and though I saw some for sale, I didn't see much action on them, so they are not really w...

I've always found Eds prices way off the mark. Sometimes twice what other people charge. No idea why, but he must have some customers as he seems to be expanding. But not me.

I guess everyone sees things a little differently. I was always treated poorly at the Wurlitzer store in Boston. I could care less that they are gone. We have a store near where I am, which seems to be flourishing in the wake of a Guitar Center influx. Great new guitars, including a few Rics, huge s...

New 330 with Vintage Pickups question

I've been thinking of ordering a 330 Blueburst lately. I currently have a 360 Burgendy, 360/12 Fireglow, both with HiGains, and a 450V63 reissue from a few years ago. Aside from the intonation issues on the fixed bridge 450V63 which render it virutally unplayable, the pickups in it are very weird. V...

Try as I might, I can't seem to post an image. Cries about the size no matter how small I make it. Peter, send me an email at zekmoe at nycap dot rr dot com and I'll send the image.
