Re: Has anyone done this to their TRC....

Thankfully I managed to find one. Now have the white Plexi as a spare.

NGD: Jetglo 360/12

Just picked this up for a decent price, although it does need some attention. I’ve been watching for a Rick 12 string to use with the band and so I don’t need to take my Tom Petty sig out. This one came up pretty cheap, but it has some finish damage. It’s heavily checked, and worn in some places. Th...

Re: Neck width

The 1993 Plus might be the guitar for you, c63 looks with an added middle pickup and neck like the 660/12.

NGD: 1997 Rose Morris RI

Been dreaming of one of these guitars for a long time, whilst browsing a few days ago I found the dream version: first year run 1986, same year as Tom Petty's with similar fading too. Arrived yesterday, quick clean up and restring and very much enjoying it. Love these 12k toasters, they have extra g...

Re: Has anyone done this to their TRC....

What’s the current situation with TRXC’s? If I had a gold one slightly damaged, can I send that back and get a replacement? What price do they charge?

Has anyone done this to their TRC....

So I have a 1997 model on its way to me, and the idea is to change the white plastics to gold. Yup, that classic combination.

However, would this be such a bad idea...it comes with a white Plexi TRC, so has anyone stripped the white off the plexiglass and back sprayed it gold? Good or bad idea?

Tom's 1997

What info is known about this one? He likes to use it in the set with a Capo on the 1st for Free Fallin and Don't Come Around Here No More.

I seem to remember it being a first run year from 1986, faded finish. Is it known what the serial number is?

Rickenbacker TRC Sizes

Can anyone help. Looking at purchasing a gold truss rod cover from a 660, would this fit a '87 1997 RM? It's measuring around 6.5 inches.

Thanks

Have you tried adjusting the 5th (mixer) knob?

Yeah I asked if he was selling the TRC separately but I was surprised when he replied that it's included in the auction.

So I've just bought this....

...and am wondering if it's too good to be true? Bought it within an hour of going up, and it's listed under scratchplate and not truss rod cover. Not that interested in the scratchplate, but I could make use for the TRC. What we thinking, legit? I can return if not but I asked the seller first and ...

660/12 moving in vintage case

Has anyone else had this bother that when the guitar is in the case, it doesn't sit into the grove of the cushion for the neck, so that it then moves with a 'thunk' in the case when the neck moves south, and the headstock hits the bottom end of the case. What's the fixable solution? Only thing I can...

Re: Knackered Toaster?

Yeah, but the pictures are after I've had my way with it...having thought I'd fixed it. I can't think what else it could be.
