I bought this DVD in HMV Portsmouth for £7 today. Both Searchers tracks' are listed. I have not played it yet but I suspect these tracks come from a "Ready Steady Go" TV programme from late 1964 when this pairing was their follow-up 45 to "When You Walk In The Room". When "R...

The box set is only £29.99 in the UK. The DVD is superb. The highlight for me was seeing the post-David Crosby line-up, featuring Gene Clark on "Mr Spaceman".

Kevin Healey is no longer with Mike Pender's Searchers, he left about 2 or 3 years ago. Steve Carlisle left about 5 years ago. Barrie Cowell still plays Bass (plus vocals). Mike Pender Junior is on drums. Keith Roberts has come in on guitar and vocals. I haven't seen a picture of this line-up yet.

A group that was big on the Mod scene in the U.K., but who had no chart entries, was The Action. A superb live band.

The Byrds tried mock British accents on their Elektra single "Please let Me Love You". Even using the name The Beefeaters (Tower Of London and all that) to add to the impression.

I saw Tomorrow (or the In Crowd as they were then known) live at a club in Southsea in the mid-60s. Their "My White Bicycle" still plays in my mind most days.
