Indeed it is awesome!

Here's my 2002 build-year 620-6 DG BH BT, first shown on the RRF on 18th July 2012, and still in my collection. Where have the last nine years gone?

Re: Help me ID this 350

Your guitar is a 350 Liverpool model in Jetglo, with 24 frets, issued February 1991. Here's another example of a 350 Liverpool. This is my 350 in Mapleglo, with Black Hardware and Black Trim (350 MG BH BT), production date April 1989 - believed to be in all original condition. Strangely though, bot...

Rickenbacker 90th Anniversary Models

Just announced today on UK dealers website, two new Ric Anniversary models: 480XC 6-string (in Tobaccoglo & Jetglo) and 4005XC bass (in Amber Fireglo & Jetglo) http://www.soundaffects.com/images/newsletter_promos/ric_90th_1611412018_5628.jpg Very tasty (despite the one year delivery times), ...

Re: 320 vs. 325

Interesting long-running thread - and how sad to note earlier contributions from Kira Moon (RIP), who is no longer with us. Anyway, despite the debate about John Lennon and 320/325 variants, I am fortunate enough to own the only four Ric 325 models ever associated with John Lennon (shown below, from...

Re: Rickenbacker 610 pickup problem help

Nice guitar - here's a Ric 610-6 Mid Blue BH BT with original two-piece pickguard, which I owned until a few years ago.

Re: Craig Witty R.I.P.

Very sorry to hear the sad news. I still own the Ric 650 Excalibur/Frisco which I bought from Craig about three years ago - needless to say, it arrived well-packaged in perfect condition. By sheer coincidence, I also came to own the 'one-off' 381V69-12 in Copper Gold which Craig had originally bough...

Re: Tell me about your first Rickenbacker...

As someone who was a teenager in the 1960s and lusted after owning a Rickenbacker for most of my adult life, I finally took the plunge about 12 years ago and bought my first Ric. In truth, I did little or no research beforehand and bought it purely on looks and something of a whim. Anyway, what I en...

Re: Being for the Benefit of Sea Green (or, la beauté de la

In terms of Colour/Color of the Year, I have the Desert Gold, Blue Boy, Montezuma Brown, Blue Burst and Amber Fireglo - but the one I covet the most is the elusive Sea (Foam) Green. There are very few of these on my side of the pond and now, thanks to CITES II, I may never get my hands on a Sea Gree...

Re: CITES II

Caribbean Rosewood is not CITES listed, so it doesn't affect us as far as new instruments. Vintage instruments with various rosewoods and ebony, unfortunately, are a big problem until licensing is simplified for personal instrument owners. Thanks for your input, John. We await to see whatever simpl...

CITES II

Recently I read a somewhat scary article about the latest CITES II regulations, with particular reference to wood species such as Bubinga and Rosewood (wood that is now protected under the Washington Convention on the Protection of Nature (CITES I & CITES II). The implications seem potentially q...

Every collector's worst nightmare - my sincere commiserations to you Gary on your loss. I hope they find and punish the rat(s) responsible. In terms of follow-up, it must be very distressing to have to chase up possible leads yourself - 'Watching the Detectives' suddenly has a whole new meaning! You...

A good time to say hello to all! Love your family, appreciate the friendship of your buddies and stay safe everybody! And don't forget to pick up one of your Ricks from time to time! Merry Christmas to all from Munich! That just about says it all, Alex. As Christmas has just ended where I live, I w...
