Re: To keep or not 2005 330/12
From the experience I had with the 1996 330/12, I am thinking that the necks from the eighties to mid/late nineties might be better for me than the extra thin ones of the sixties and seventies. I've got a '98 330/12VP in the classifieds that I just now bumped to the top, if you care to have a look....

You nailed it...
I came to the same conclusion on the spot, but then it began gnawing on me...
Was curious if those dowels might have been part of the original design, as I don't ever recall seeing a set neck Ric...

450/12 Set Neck Reset...

I'm seeing possible dowel lacquer checking (4 of 'em or so) sticking through a possible re-finned back... Were these originally dowelled, o...

Re: Is This a 330/12VP??
Now You made me snoopy: Which vintage ones do You own? I've owned several 60's 360/12s over the years... And this thing, which was my go-to 12 for many years: http://www.rickresource.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=104&t=395144 I think I want to eventually wind up with a 660/12, which looks to be the...

This is the first "modern" Rick 12 I've owned, and I'm certainly enjoying it as much as the vintage examples...

Is This a 330/12VP??

Hey Mike.... We used to pick together just about every week for awhile there at a coffee house north of the panhandle....Sacred Grounds? This would have been in the mid-70's.... Tom Hobson led the festivities, and I was usually on mandolin... I remember one night Richie Cole walked in and blew the p...
