Re: NBD 1977 4001!
I dig it man, I love both mine. I think I can't decide though between 4003 or the 4001. As I find that both have a mojo all their own. My 4001 over the years has never been on the block if I needed money. Never parted with that one. I will probably be buried with it if i can be.

Re: Elixir coated strings
I have been using Elixir strings for my round wounds for years also. And D'Addario chrome flats for the flat sound. Oh and then GHS BAss Boomers for my 3000. Shorty's are hard to come by it seems yet I like the Boomers of all the types I have tried for the 3000. I am testing a new pair for Elixir ri...

Re: Strings convo
Well after all of your careful thoughts and in put folks. I decided to take the string off yet once again and re string it. I laid the string out and methodically took extra long long in winding it etc... and now the problem is gone  I had them on for almost 2 weeks and relaeased tension and r...

Re: Strings convo

Is weird they are from a demonstration pack (not on the market yet) The company emailed me and asked if i wanted to trial them out and then send them my thoughts and the strings back after 10 weeks of using them. Have any of you folks gotten a set of strings and placed them on only to find that one of the strings to have tone of being run thru a chorus pedal when it is really not being run thru a chorus pedal. I have GHS Boomers on my 77' Jetglo....... Actually have always used those on that bass. They sound great and the Red silk looks cool with the JG on the headstock.....

Re: Is this a cause for concern?
The bridge on mine is off center too, but it plays just fine. Yeah, it bugs me a bit, 'cause I'm such a perfectionist In that case, send it to me, so it won't bug you anymore! 8) Eh, since it's "Mehpleglo", I'm sure you wouldn't really appreciate it...   Send...

Re: 2013 Top 60 Bassist List is OUT Of Order
