For sure! I'll bring along my 4003 Noir for your inspection and approval. :D

Re: 2nd Edition progress

Picked up my copy yesterday. It will look nice next to the 1st edition on the shelf. Paul, I may need to swing by the "Burg" to have you sign this copy, too.

Great work, again! This is the comprehensive, exhaustive and definitive guide to the Rick bass. What a labor of love!

Re: 2nd Edition progress

Looking forward to it, Paul. If you're going to have any type of event for the release of this new edition, please let me know. Cedarburg is a hop/skip/jump from Milwaukee.

Re: New Noir

I'm not sure what to do about caring for the ebony fingerboard. I was turned on to Dr. Duck's Axe Wax, which is a misleading name because it's not wax. It's an oil - probably similar to bore oil which is used for wind instruments. Martin Guitars recommends using it for ebony and rosewood boards, an...

Re: New Noir

don't leave that damn push pull paper sticker on too long, you'll have a fun time getting it off. My Noir sat in it's case for a few months before I got back home to it and it was a pain in the ou know what to get off. Enjoy her and play her hard! Thanks. Those are the photos from the dealer which ...

Re: New Noir

Congrats! Beautiful basses, aren't they? I love mine. Does your serial number begin with 17? Mine does, so maybe they are doing a second run & making more than the rumored total of 30. Thanks! Yes, my serial starts with 17. Very exciting that they're possibly doing another run. I wonder if RIC ...

New Noir

I haven't been on the forum in a while, but I thought I would come on and share some good fortune. I ordered this today from Dave's Guitar in La Crosse. According to the sales rep, they had wanted to get in on the initial run of Noir basses, but didn't. Then this one showed up today! I check Dave's ...

Re: New 4003S!

Thanks, everyone! This 4003 is awesome. I haven't put it down all weekend. Nice! I bought one much like yours from Wildwood a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. Only Ric bass I've owned that hasn't needed any set up work at all out-of-the-box (though Wildwood probably poked at it a bit before it came ...

Very happy to have taken delivery of a 4003S FG. Dave's Guitar in La Crosse is an awesome place to get your Ricks.

Re: 4003s's

Picked up a 4003S MG from a local dealer. The bass was fresh out of the box. The build quality is excellent and the neck is really beefy, which I like! The body contours make it a pleasure to play and I'm digging the dot inlays on the fretboard. I love the simplicity of the S model.
