Lefty 4003SW
Hi everyone. It's been a while. I purchased this a few months back from Fuller Guitars. It looks and feel great (smooth, fast and alot lighter than the '74). It has been so fun to play. I entered it in the registry, but also wanted to share in here. I'm not sure they've built many lefty SW yet. head...

Very nice to see your project underway, Brian. I hope it turns out like you're envisioning. Really cool.
And I kinda feel the same way about the headstock. I like the way my 4001 looks in that regard.
Good luck!
oh, and what Dane said.

Re: 2015: Another Bay Area BARC, (Again) ...
Hey Bay Area, Sorry for being late to this party. I'm not checking into this forum as often recently (my '74's specs haven't changed in, well, years). Also more sorry that I can't make the actual party. I'm out of town for a good part of July, so count me out. Too bad. I thought we could extend the ...

Re: lefty 4001S refin
Finally had it with all the Chinese knockoffs? :P This explains the Chinese Lefty Knockoff market rumor mill buzz about a Maurice Gibb tribute bass. Ronn has some nice basses and this one is going to look great. Hope the rest of the refin goes well. I've a '93 S and love playing it. Very comfortabl...

SLEEP - The Clarity
"...only with a Rickenbacker." Get comfortable. Nearly ten minutes long. I'm not sure what Al Cisneros used to record this, but I had seen a few pictures of him recently in a studio playing a 4003W. This sounds great. They are touring this summer. https://soundcloud.com/adultswimsingles/th...

Re: Fogerty's Son? - Rocking the Ric
It was Shane (John announced during his set) and he was playing a Pete Townshend signature (what John B said).johnhall wrote:Was it a purple Model 370? If so, it was indeed his son, Shane, who's quite a great player.
Another guitarist was also playing a Rick on some songs.

Re: Commemoration - Your Guitar's Manufacture Anniversary
If the dots look more green than red to you, you may have been right the first time - there were a rare number made with green dots and some blue. I had read about some of those, too, but I had my wife confirm they were red. It was my eyes. They are still easier to pick out than the tiny white spec...

Re: Commemoration - Your Guitar's Manufacture Anniversary
Nice! Sweet rare bird - a 4001LH w/righty neck and the red dots... very cool! Does it have the red dots on both sides of the fretboard? Never checked. Hold on...it does not. I'm colorblind and thought they were green for a few years. Searching the forum turned up lots on "red dots,"...
