Re: 3 Short scale 4030 basses
That's the most dickish thing I have ever read on the RRF. Actually...JEFF...I read much more 'dickish" things here. Watching that video was like being at Guitar Center on a Saturday. The tone was buried in distortion, and the repetitive riffing was boring. RIC decided who was worthy of...

Re: New basses
I've not been back here in nearly two years, but was lured by some news coming out of NAMM. It's great to hear people outside of the RIC circle talking about Rickenbacker again, and I was curious what the buzz is about. Now I know. I am not a bass player myself (not a good one anyway) but from an ae...

Re: Roll Call !!
I glance at the forum once in a while hoping for something new but there's just not much to talk about here. I don't think it has anything to do with Facebook or a drop in guitar-based music because I post on 6 other guitar forums and none of them have suffered the same decline. People have been say...

Re: How to record guitar (or bass) on the computer?
I've never been particularly happy with Direct Input. There are high-end modeling units out there like Kemper or Axe-FX that have sophisticated cab simulation which can produce seriously impressive results with minimal effort, but these are units that cost thousands of dollars. Personally I use a pa...

Re: Chip Touch-Up
My 480 is banged up, checking on the body and headstock, chips etc. but it's an old guitar with a long history. It's not the same as one unslightly chip on an otherwise perfect body, imo. In general though you see a lot less "road worn" Rickenbackers, I agree. The old CV is a pretty tough ...

Re: Chip Touch-Up
That's tricky for sure. Usually i'd just say "leave it alone" because an unsightly repair can look worse than a chip, but it definitely sticks out against the otherwise unblemished top. I mean, looking at an obvious repair is just as distracting as an obvious chip, imo. Unless you can blen...

Re: Accent: To drill or not to drill?
If $60 is a lot of money to you, then there is a decent chance you may have to sell this guitar at some point Wow, that's shockingly rude. Personally I wouldn't care about an extra hole in the tailpiece bracket (a part that can easily be replaced) because he never once mentioned drilling out the bo...

I had a much longer reply typed up but nixed it before hitting submit. "Things are never going to change and we don't want them to" is the message i'm getting loud and clear.

I would've thought that goes without saying, if I didn't care I wouldn't be posting here.cassius987 wrote:Are you worried about them?

Re: PM Messages Not Sent
Messages appear in your Outbox until the recipient opens them, once they've been read they move into the "Sent" category. So if a message is still in your Outbox, you know that the person you sent it to hasen't read it yet.
