Re: show your custom bass!!!

LOL, It's a running gag around here Mike. Nothing personal at all. No, Jetglo while a "classic" isn't for me. I've been known to call it "Fingerprint Glo" or Oil Spill Glo, or Exxon Valdez Oil Spil Glo...etc. OilPoolFromValdezSpill.jpg Jeff, I must say, a HS DOES make a differen...

Re: Aug 2012 Chris Interview Talks bout Vincent and His Book

"A Yamaha representative also brought a new bass guitar down to the studio. I tried it out and played a couple of riffs that developed into “Tall Ships.” I can’t remember what the bass is called, but it’s a Jetsons-like, pointy blue-and-red instrument with lights underneath the volume and tone...

Re: The road to hell

Although I don't personally care for this design, I don't believe this will be removed. The seller does not say "Rickenbacker copy" and there are enough little alterations in his design, headstock, pick-ups, bridge...etc. Perhaps I'm incorrect.

Happy Birthyday, Joey! Can undeniably say I would not have the knowledge of Rickenbacker without you. It is nice to know there are still people out there who enjoy being mentors. Thank YOU!

Opportunity

Received an interesting request today. Have been referred by another musician and have been asked to play with join up with a new group. Talked with them and it appears I have an opportunity to hook up with a professional band. I know I have the chops to hang with them but I've never been involved w...

1988 Walnut

Was just looking in the register and came across a 4001 Walnut bass built in 1988. I'm not an expert, but this appears to be way past the date of the last of the 4001's. Different serial # too, A11111. Anyone know of the history of this instrument?
