Re: 330S in Tobaccoglo 2012 - Limited Run
Beautiful guitar, especially the fingerboard. The neck on mine seems perfect for me, as well, and the pups are really well balanced. I'm definitely glad I found one and sprung for it.

Re: Does anybody happen to know where these posters came fro
Thanks for the link. I can't imagine what album these would have come with and I thought I remembered them being from a special edition teen mag (according to the tag when I bought them close to 40 years ago. They're definitely real posters and not tear out pages though.

Does anybody happen to know where these posters came from?
Sorry for the crummy phone pictures. I bought the full set of four of these probably when I was 10-11 around 1973 or so. I remember paying a lot at the time (considering it was allowance money) and there was a note on the set that they were from a teen or beat magazine from 1964. I've never seen ano...

Re: Ric-O-Sound differences between vintage and modern?
Thanks Collin. There was no question in my mind at all about that. I just wasn't sure if "stereo" on a 1964 model meant it could be sent to two amps and simply panned between them with the mixer knob, or if they always worked with one pickup to one side and one to the other like the modern...

Re: Ric-O-Sound differences between vintage and modern?
It's not normal unless someone's wired your 625 in mono with two mono jacks. A picture or two of the internals will tell the tale. I kind of assumed that since I was getting a pan feature from amp to amp, but the same pickup combination so it wasn't just mono and mono. The mono jack has a switching...

Re: Vintage Rickenbacker Electro (M-12) - w/ AUDIO
Nice amp and nice clips. I picked up an early M-11 over the summer that I just got up and running other than the broken cabinet. Mine doesn't get as dirty as yours does, at least not with an efficient speaker and single coils. Here are a couple pics of mine. I've since made a back panel which was mi...

Re: Cave Passive Pedal "RFF Tour" begins!
Is there still time to get in on the tour? I can give it a whirl with a 4003S, 66-67 Hofner, and a couple of MusicMan models.

Vince Gill (or at least his other guitar player)
A buddy wants me to learn this song so we can play it at an outdoor summer gig. I was watching several versions and was surprised to see the 620 in this version.

That must be the deluxe Thermador...it has way more knobs. Pre-cursor to the Transonic possibly?

Re: Need help restoring/rebuilding a Rickenbacker M11
Thanks, I just came back to post that I got it up and running this evening and found your post. Nice amp! The Dave Hunter article had a typo as far as the phase inverter tube. The article said SN7 and with some searching everything that came up was a 6SN7 so I bought a couple of those first and had ...

Need help restoring/rebuilding a Rickenbacker M11
Several months ago I snagged what I think is an M11. I have looked through the Registry and it comes up as being an M11 (it was already entered in there twice I believe) and I have found the one single article on it by Dave Hunter that also calls it an M11. This is the version with the rounded top t...

Re: 600-Series Shape Changes
Having just purchased a '64, I'd have to vote for the earlier version. I do like how they made the line of the horns continue in an even sweep from one side of the neck to the other, but I prefer the shape of the upper horn on the older models even though I'm not sure I would have immediately notice...

Ric-O-Sound differences between vintage and modern?
So I just picked up my dream Rickenbacker from another forum member, a 625. I'm really loving it right now and since I had both of the Fender Princetons in the same room I decided to plug into the Ric-O-Sound output. I rarely do this with my 360WB so I figured I may as well give it a go. Using the s...

Re: New (to me) Electro E-12
There are actually quite a few places on the web where these are listed as a model E-12, including several of them in the Registry here. Once John posted the correct model number I found just as many in the Registry under that number. I got the wrong model number from the seller and armed with that ...
